Jobe Bellingham Shines on Full Dortmund Debut – A New Legacy Begins

🟡 A Debut Worth Remembering

Jobe Bellingham is no stranger to pressure. As the younger brother of global star Jude Bellingham, expectations were sky-high the moment he stepped into Borussia Dortmund’s yellow and black. And he delivered.

On his first start for Dortmund, the 19-year-old midfielder found the net just before halftime, helping secure a thrilling 4-3 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the FIFA Club World Cup in Cincinnati.

It was a symbolic moment—four years, nine months, and one week after Jude scored on his debut for Dortmund in 2020.

🥅 A Goal with Brotherhood Echoes

Just like big brother Jude’s debut goal against Duisburg, Jobe’s strike showed perfect timing, control, and confidence. After gliding into space at the edge of the box, he expertly cushioned the ball, escaped his marker, and fired low—finding the net with a slight deflection.

A textbook goal from a midfielder who’s clearly learned the art of arriving late in the box—and turning up when it counts.

🎙️ "It’s Something I Practise Every Day"

“It’s a really nice bonus. I am glad we won, but there are still a lot of things for me to improve on. I’m really pleased,” Jobe told Dazn.

“That kind of goal? I’ve trained it so many times, from when I was a kid at Sunderland—arriving late into the box as a midfielder. So yeah, I’m proud.”

At only 19, Jobe already shows signs of being not just Jude’s brother—but his own rising star. With confidence, vision, and a goal-scoring instinct, he’s crafting his own chapter in the Bellingham legacy.
