ZAMORA, SPAIN – July 2025Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the global football community in mourning the heartbreaking loss of Portugal teammate Diogo Jota, who tragically died alongside his younger brother Andre Silva in a car crash in Spain early Thursday morning.

The 28-year-old Liverpool forward and his brother were killed after their car veered off the highway near Cernadilla in Zamora province and caught fire. Spanish authorities confirmed the vehicle suffered a tyre blowout before the fatal incident.
